Training

All users must attend a 1-hour training lecture prior to training at the microscope. Users must complete Training Sessions I and II before they are allowed to sign-up and operate MIC equipment on their own. Researchers who wish to do 2-photon training must have either the MaiTai or Tsunami training, depending on which system they will be using, and possibly laser safety training. Additional training is optional, according to need and desire.

Training lectures are held 6-8 times per year, depending upon demand. Please fill out a REGISTRATION form and send it to Holly by email or fax (510.642.5741). Read the RULES and REGULATIONS as you are required to abide by the rules of use for this facility.
